Daniel Gordon – Director
Daniel
graduated from Warwickshire College of Agriculture in 1990 after studying Equine
Physiotherapy for three years. He then spent a year with the Swiss Junior Event
team based just outside Zurich before coming home and setting up D & G
Saddlery in Windsor, Berkshire.
In late1992, due to the success of the
business, and lack of space he relocated the business to Twyford Farm Shop
Centre where his brother Matthew Gordon joined him and set up M& G feeds.
Now based in Henley Daniel looks after the e-commerce side of the business as
well as maintaining a hands on interest in the day to day business of serving
the customers and dealing with customer queries.
Matthew 'Flash' Gordon -
Director
Matthew graduated from Berkshire College of Agriculture
in 1992 after studying Equine Business Management for two years. He launched his
own business, M & G Feed Supplies, in August 1992 and began trading from
Twyford Farm Shop in Berkshire.
The business proved very successful and in
1994 Matthew merged his company with that of his brother Daniel who owned D
& G Saddlery to form Equestrian World UK Ltd in Henley.
Matthew now
manages the Henley branch as well as looking after our finances and dealing with
our accounts.
Sarah Stevens - Qualified saddler and harness maker.
Having been trained by Frances Kelly, Master saddler based at
the Royal Mews, Sarah joined us in December as resident saddler.
Awards won include ‘Saddlery Apprentice of the Year’ in 2008;
City and Guilds Lions Award Medal of Excellence 2009. At the annual Saddlery
competition held by the Society of Master Saddlers at the Saddlers’ Hall in
London, Sarah has regularly been a multiple prizewinner in both saddle and
bridle making classes. In this year’s competition her double bridle entry came
second place and her Side Saddle entry won the class.
